Alex Pereira has a height of 5 feet 4 inches (193 cm) tall. Alex Pereira switched to mixed martial arts, lost his first match by submission in 2015. Pereira then declared he has signed a contract to compete against Diego Henrique da Silva on August 10, 2018, in the Brazilian edition of Dana White’s Contender Series after earning two straight victories. But because Glory forbade Pereira from competing, the fight never took place.

Alex Pereira made his promotional debut on November 20, 2020, against Thomas Powell after it was announced on October 22, 2020, that Pereira had signed a contract with Legacy Fighting Alliance. In the opening round, he was knocked out to win the fight.
